Denco B. Wennie is a seasoned banking professional with over 17 years of progressive experience in banking operations, marketing, business development, and service excellence. She possesses extensive expertise in processing multi-level banking transactions, managing operational risks, reducing digital friction, and eliminating unnecessary manual processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and overall customer experience.
Denco began her banking career in 2008 at First International Bank Liberia Limited (FIBLL), where she served in several key roles, including Bulk Teller, Teller, Customer Service Officer, Operations Officer, and Branch Manager between 2008 and 2014. Her early career reflects a strong foundation in frontline banking operations and branch leadership.
In 2015, she transitioned to the Marketing Department as Retail Manager, further expanding her expertise in customer acquisition, product promotion, and market growth strategies. In 2016, she joined GN Bank Liberia Limited (now SIB Liberia Limited (SIBLL)) as Branch Manager, continuing to demonstrate strong leadership and operational oversight.
In 2019, Denco moved to the Business Development Department, where she served as Deputy Business Development Manager and was later promoted to Business Development Manager within the same year. In this role, she led growth initiatives and strengthened the bank’s market presence until 2020.
By 2021, she returned to the Operations Department as Operations Manager, overseeing operational controls and driving process improvements. In July 2025, she was appointed Manager, Service Excellence, the position she currently holds, focusing on enhancing service delivery standards, customer satisfaction, and institutional performance.
Denco holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics with a minor in Accounting from United Methodist University (2008). She has also earned several professional certificates and diplomas in business administration and development through workshops and training programs both within and outside Liberia.
