Cllr. Lorpu Zawu is an accomplished legal practitioner with over fourteen years of professional experience, specializing in labor-related disputes and negotiations, debt recovery matters, foreclosure and garnishment proceedings, as well as the provision of legal advice and opinions. She is widely recognized for delivering practical, strategic, and results-oriented legal solutions that effectively safeguard her clients’ interests.
As a Senior Associate at Heritage Partners (having joined the firm as an Associate in 2016), Cllr. Zawu has played a pivotal role in managing client portfolios, leading contract negotiations, conducting in-depth legal research, and providing high-level advisory services. Her expertise enables clients to navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks with confidence and clarity.
Prior to joining Heritage Partners, she served as an Associate at Dunbar & Dunbar Law Firm for four years, where she represented clients in various legal proceedings, managed diverse case portfolios, and provided comprehensive advisory and research support across multiple areas of practice.
Cllr. Zawu’s professional foundation was strengthened during her internship as a Labour Solicitor at the Office of the Legal Counsel, Ministry of Labor. In this capacity, she represented indigent clients in labor-related matters and handled litigation before the National Labour Court, gaining valuable experience in courtroom advocacy and dispute resolution.
