Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is a distinguished Ghanaian entrepreneur, economist, business consultant, and politician with over 43 years of experience in building, managing, and expanding successful brands across multiple industries. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Nduom, a diversified conglomerate comprising more than 60 companies operating in hospitality, real estate, finance, media, sports, technology, and international business. The Group employs thousands of people in Ghana and maintains a strong presence both locally and internationally, contributing significantly to economic growth and private sector development.
Under his leadership, Groupe Nduom has developed notable enterprises including Coconut Grove Hotels, Yorke Properties, Gold Coast Securities Ltd, First
National Savings & Loans Company Ltd, Ghana Growth Fund, GN Media (GN TV, Wa FM, Light FM, Today Newspaper), and former Ghana Premier League club Elmina
Sharks, among others. His entrepreneurial vision reflects a commitment to private sector growth, job creation, and national development.
Dr. Nduom’s professional career began in the United States,
where he worked with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District before joining Deloitte & Touche, rising to Partner within five years. In 1992, he
co-founded Deloitte & Touche West Africa Consulting. Over the years, he has consulted for major international and regional institutions including Chrysler,
the African Development Bank, Chevron, Ashanti Goldfields, Zimbabwe Social Security Authority, Africa Reinsurance, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the
Commonwealth of Virginia, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Texaco, Elf Oil, and Malawi Oil Company.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Dr. Nduom has held significant board positions, including Board Chairman of First National Savings & Loans, Ghana Growth Fund Company Ltd., and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Africa Region. He has also served as a Board Member of the Ghana Stock Exchange, Fan Milk Ghana Ltd., Edinaman Secondary School, and the Ghana Heritage & Conservation Trust.
His public service career includes serving as Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (2001–2003), Member of Parliament for the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency (2005–2009), and Minister of Economic Planning & Regional Cooperation, Minister of Energy, and Minister of Public Sector Reform between 2001 and 2007.
Dr. Nduom holds a Doctorate in Service Delivery Systems, a Master of Science in Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, all from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, USA. His career reflects a strong blend of entrepreneurship, public service, and strategic leadership dedicated to economic development and institutional growth.
